Kathmandu · Technology partner for monasteries and Buddhist institutions
Helping monasteries and the Dharma
find their place online
ཆོས་ཀྱི་ཤེས་རིག་ཨང་རྟགས་ལག་རྩལ་དང་མཐུད་པ།
We build monastery websites, turn Tibetan teaching recordings into searchable text, and design mobile apps for monasteries and Buddhist institutions, such as our traditional Tibetan calendar app. We know the technology, and we know how monasteries actually run.
སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་བདེ་བ་དང་བདེ་བའི་རྒྱུ་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག
May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.
སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་གྱི་རྒྱུ་དང་བྲལ་བར་གྱུར་ཅིག
May all beings be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.
Three services
All three share one base of language and content
Monastery Websites
Sites in Chinese, English and Tibetan, with event calendars, sponsorship and visitor guides. We keep them up to date after launch.
Tibetan Speech AI
Noise reduction and transcription for teaching recordings, producing Tibetan–Chinese subtitles and transcripts ready to publish on the monastery site.
App Design
Mobile apps for monasteries and Buddhist institutions, with full Tibetan support, from planning through store release and updates. Example: our traditional Tibetan calendar.
How the three fit together
One teaching, from recording to website and calendar
The monastery hands us the recording once. Transcription, review, publishing and Tibetan dates all work from the same content, with no files passed back and forth between vendors.
How we work
Monasteries trust us with their texts, lineage and teachings. These are the three rules we follow.
Real sources, always cited
Texts, lineage histories and background on the site are sourced, and published only after the monastery provides or approves them.
The content stays the monastery's
The monastery can edit or remove anything at any time. Domains, accounts and data are registered in the monastery's name.
AI drafts, people review
A model produces the first draft of every transcript and translation, then a Buddhist-studies editor checks it passage by passage against a dedicated term glossary. It is never raw machine translation.
